We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Communications Specialist to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining satellite terminals, as well as providing technical assistance and training to users.
Responsibilities- Install and configure satellite equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to repair equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide technical assistance and training to users on the operation and maintenance of satellite equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex problems and improve system operation and maintenance.
- Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and potential improvements.
- Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, and technical studies.
- Active Secret US Government clearance and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Germany Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) with a bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, or associate degree and 7 years of experience, or high school diploma and 11 years of experience.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in SATCOM maintenance, with 1 year in a DoD operational C4ISR program preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and volt meters.
- Knowledge of Air Force Supply System and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) is preferred.
- Comp TIA Security+ Certification and trained in information assurance to DoD IAT Level II.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications.
- Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and effectively communicate it verbally and in writing.
- Current state-issued driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Prior experience in a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) working environment.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
