About the Job

The Université du Luxembourg is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join its team in the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Dr. Birte Nienaber and contribute to qualitative research activities, including conducting interviews, writing research proposals, and facilitating an exchange between practitioners and researchers in the field of health and migration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative research activities, including conducting interviews and focus groups
  • Participate in writing research proposals and publications
  • Facilitate an exchange between practitioners and researchers in the field of health and migration
  • Participate in the dissemination of research findings

Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in migration studies, public health, psychology, sociology, or a related field
  • Fluent written and spoken language skills in English and French, with knowledge of one or more additional languages a plus
  • Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary and multilingual team
  • Advanced experience in qualitative research in the field of migration, with a focus on health issues
  • High-level experience in qualitative data analysis
  • Effective communication and drafting skills
