Job Title: Database AdministratorWe are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team at Sogeti, part of Capgemini. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our SQL Server databases.
Key Responsibilities:- Database Management: Install, configure, and manage SQL Server instances and databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance and optimize queries, indexes, and server configurations to ensure efficient database operations.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Set up monitoring tools and perform regular maintenance to ensure database availability and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, providing support to development and production environments.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Security Management: Implement database security measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong Proficiency: Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2014/2016/2019), knowledge of database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Certification: Certification in SQL Server (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) is a strong asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
- Excellent Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language: Fluency in French and good command in English are required.
