IT Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Steelcase. As a frontline representative, you will provide high-performance IT support for our Rosenheim facility, acting as a liaison between Information Technology and Steelcase.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic and advanced technical support and consulting, including hardware and software installations and configurations.
- Set up and manage hardware and software technology products, including troubleshooting throughout the technology value stream.
- Support end-user workplace devices, including laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, copiers, phones, multimedia display screens, and video projectors.
- Understand the local network topology and provide basic hands-on support to the Network team.
- Enforce Steelcase desktop standards (OS & applications standards).
- Evaluate, install, set up, and manage software products included in the basic desktop system configuration.
- Act as responsible for handling user IT incidents and requests via Service-Now software call tracking system according to procedures.
Requirements
- You have an empathetic and consultative approach towards all Steelcase employees or business partners.
- You are able to build relationships and trust in order to grow technical competency by working with Engineers, IT Architects, and Management.
- A self-learner who keeps abreast of the latest technology advancements in the enterprise and consumer space while abiding by all internal control and compliance practices.
- You proactively find ways to automate routine tasks and have holistic thinking with a focus on integration and value add.
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher education graduate.
- 0-2 years experience in a similar field (technical field support preferred).
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, ServiceNow (would be a plus).
- Advanced English and German.
