Senior Electric Propulsion Systems Engineer

As a Senior Electric Propulsion Lab Engineer at Vaeridion GmbH, you will play a crucial role in developing, realizing, and operating laboratories for our electric propulsion system and its main components. Your primary responsibilities will include laboratory realization, test bench design, and development of test plans and reports.
Laboratory Realization
- Design, develop, and implement laboratories for the purpose of validation and verification of electrical propulsion systems and their subsystems.
- Specify and plan test benches, test equipment, and associated facilities according to the test plans of the test engineer(s) and design engineer(s).
- Identify and contract suitable internal and external test facilities to conduct test campaigns as defined in the test strategy and test plans.
Lab Responsible and Work Safety Delegate
- Act as the laboratory and test bench responsible.
- Lead the specification and implementation of the safety system and procedures.
- Act as a work safety delegate and participate in the occupational health and safety committee.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including test engineers, qualified electricians, and work safety bodies, to ensure occupational health and safety, test readiness, and valid results on time, budget, and quality.

Your Profile
- 8+ years of proven experience with hardware testing and test bench design or operation for electrical drive systems or similar.
- Engineering degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or similar, e.g., Automotive/Aerospace Engineering. Qualified electrician ('Elektrofachkraft') would be a plus.
- Experience with electrical drive systems, HV battery systems, electric mobility.
- Proficiency in test disciplines such as functional safety, performance, functional, environmental validation.
- Familiarity with aviation or automotive development processes and standards, e.g., ARP4754, ISO26262.
- Strong network of test bench, measurement equipment, and test software tool suppliers.
- Passionate team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills characterized by an open mindset, proactive sense of responsibility, active information sharing, and willingness to help.
- Positive thinking, 'Can do' attitude, and working nature characterized by self-initiative, solution orientation, eagerness to learn, grow, and apply new skills.
- Fluent English skills. German skills would be a plus.
