Software Development Expert

At E.ON Energy Markets GmbH, we are seeking a skilled Software Development Expert to join our team in Essen. As a key member of our multinational team, you will design and lead the implementation of highly available, highly scalable, and secure solutions for the energy trading, risk management, and portfolio management business using cutting-edge cloud native technologies.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing software issues.
  • You will suggest architecture improvements and recommend process improvements.
  • You will evaluate new technology options and vendor products while ensuring critical system security using best-in-class security solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical experience in a similar role supporting large-scale production systems.
  • Proficiency in Java programming, including experience with Advanced Java concepts.
  • Strong familiarity with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Expertise in Docker, REST, Git, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • You are comfortable with microservices architectures, API-based and event-based communication, CQRS, Eventsourcing, Messaging.
  • You know your way around Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and Azure.
  • Business fluent in English and German is mandatory.
