Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Technical Manager to join our EMEA team. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring our Field Application Engineer (FAE) team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support our customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor the FAE team, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to handle customer inquiries and provide technical solutions.
- Develop and implement a clear process for tracking opportunities from design to delivery, ensuring a smooth handover process and maximizing revenue growth.
- Document and review training needs for FAEs to ensure they have the necessary skills to support our customers.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop training programs for our sales teams, enabling them to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining our design database and manufacturer design registration schemes, ensuring we remain eligible for design incentive bonuses.
- Work closely with sales management teams to develop a focus/key customer-based strategy, identifying areas where enabling technologies and FAE resources can drive profitable growth.
- Represent the UK technical team to suppliers and Future EMEA management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the electronics and electronic distribution industry, including commercial imperatives such as margin and supplier management.
- Display and enact management/leadership skills, ensuring the FAE team is motivated and empowered to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of electronics and electronic distribution.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and develop effective solutions.
