About the Role

Amazon is a pioneer in innovation, particularly in the field of fulfillment technology and robotics. We are seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineer to be part of our global effort to develop and deliver the next generation of world-class technology systems inside our fulfillment centers.

Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the tactical planning and execution of difficult cross-functional projects with considerable impact across the functions of schedule, scope, cost, and product performance. You will own the deployment project management and product ramp-up support, collaborating with hardware engineering, technical program managers, and internal customers to ensure the product is ready for deployment and capable of achieving business requirements. You will travel to project sites, collaborate virtually and in-person, and manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management. Additionally, you will work on continuous improvement activities to enhance projects in your space.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or other STEM field degrees, with experience directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects. You should also have experience with Microsoft Office products and applications, as well as using CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.). A Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field is desirable. Experience in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, or other operations engineer tools is also beneficial. Furthermore, you should have demonstrated design and/or implementation experience with integrated automation solutions, such as material handling systems, high-speed packaging lines, or manufacturing lines.
