Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our DevOps platform tribe, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native DevOps operating models, consulting and mentoring software development squads on CI/CD processes, and staying up-to-date with new trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-native DevOps operating models with the lowest possible ops overhead and fast time-to-market
  • Consult and mentor software development squads on CI/CD processes and enable them to develop and maintain cloud-native applications
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends and technologies in the market and integrate them into our modern CI/CD process
  • Collaborate with the squad to design the overall technical architecture for our DevOps platform
  • Articulate the vision of Platform Engineering to other squads and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Hands-on mentality and an eye for details
  • Excellent communication skills in English (proficiency in German is a bonus)
  • Proven skills with CI tools (GitLab and GitLab CI), continuous deployment tools (Argo CD), and cloud orchestration with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
  • Experience with hyperscaler clouds (e.g. Azure) and the associated infrastructure and PaaS/CaaS product suite
  • Very good knowledge of the container ecosystem (Docker), container orchestrators (Kubernetes), and cluster fleeting technologies (e.g. Crossplane)
  • Ability to code (language not important)
