We are a non-profit, continuously growing enterprise group with over 900 employees in ten facilities in Thuringia, Lower Saxony, and Rhineland-Palatinate. We offer stationary and ambulatory care services to our entrusted residents and clients at fair conditions. Our goal is to provide optimal, individualized care and treat people with care and respect.
Our MissionWe, the Seniorenwerk Seniorenpflegeheim Asternhof, are seeking enthusiastic individuals who enjoy making a valuable contribution to our community. As volunteer supporters, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life of our residents and bring joy to them with your time and attention.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for volunteer supporters to join our team in the following roles:
- Reading books, newspapers, or other texts to our residents
- Accompanying residents on walks in the park or on the facility's grounds
- Providing companionship and spending time with residents
- Listening to residents' concerns, stories, and experiences
- Entertaining residents through conversations, games, or joint activities
- A friendly, patient, and empathetic nature
- An interest in working with older adults
- Reliability and sense of responsibility
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility in terms of working hours (weekdays, weekends, holidays)
- A meaningful and fulfilling job in a social environment

- Remuneration: Exercise instructor's allowance (€10/hour, max. €3,000/year)
