Operational Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to join our Operational Risk Department at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a standardized framework to identify, measure, and monitor operational risk across the firm.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of European regulatory authorities' approach to operational resilience, regional nuances, and requirements.
- Play a critical role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the firm's global operational resilience framework to ensure a front-to-back approach to operational readiness and response to business disruption events.
- Support the execution of the firm's Operational Resilience framework for the European legal entities of Goldman Sachs.
- Engage and liaise with regulators on the operational resilience framework and support responses to requests/exams.
- Utilize networks with peer firms to understand industry opinion and implementation of the operational resilience framework.
- Be apprised of operational resilience events and data collection, including reporting when necessary, and perform detailed reviews of trends to identify significant risks and ensure monitoring and remediation.
- Participate in the firm's capital and stress-testing scenario analyses relevant to the firm's business disruption risks with a focus on European legal entities of Goldman Sachs.
- Establish and maintain qualitative/quantitative operational resilience metrics for EMEA legal entities.
- Maintain ongoing monitoring, triggers, escalation, and mitigating actions of the relevant metrics.
- Be well-versed in operational risk methods and practices with the ability to connect and align the firm's operational risk management processes with the operational resilience framework.
- Review and challenge divisional implementation and execution of the Firm's Operational Resilience Program with a specific focus on EMEA legal entities.
- Manage strategic planning uplift activities to ensure they are executed on time and with the expected level of quality.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of key flows and functions of a global Investment Bank.
- Thorough understanding of European resilience regulatory landscape, including Digital Operational Resilience Act requirements.
- Strong client/stakeholder management skills with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt verbal and written communication to audience depending on seniority and messaging.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong delivery focus.
- Ability to work in a team environment and knowledge share with other colleagues within the team, and support team members' development.
- Possess a Bachelor's or equivalent degree at minimum.
