Media Technician

About the Role

As a Media Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our post-production workflows. You will be the central point of contact between editorial and technical teams, managing assignments and coordinating material exchange within SWR and other ARD broadcasters.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between editorial and technical staff, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
• Independently manage and prioritize incoming assignments to ensure efficient material flow throughout post-production.
• Assess and prepare video content for further processing in post-production environments.
• Coordinate the exchange of media assets between SWR and other ARD broadcasters, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical specifications.
• Initiate and oversee video recordings from both studio and external sources, adhering to production schedules and quality standards.
• Collaborate with editorial teams to edit videos for diverse formats and platforms, ensuring content meets broadcast requirements.

Your Profile

• Possess a completed training in media technology or media design.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various video codecs and formats.
• Have hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software.
• Exhibit flexibility, responsibility, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.
• Be willing to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
