About the Role
As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Evonik, you will have the opportunity to explore a world of opportunities and help shape innovative solutions to make our world more sustainable and life healthier, more vibrant, and more comfortable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide internal consulting on specific and strategic sustainability issues for operational and functional areas.
- Conduct independent analysis of market and customer requirements, implement sustainability analyses, and identify measures for CO2 reduction.
- Develop and implement competences, tools, and processes to support sustainability initiatives.
- Transfer knowledge and provide training activities to colleagues.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external departments, including customers, suppliers, and associations.
Requirements
- Completed studies in chemistry, (industrial) engineering, process engineering, MINT, or comparable fields.
- Relevant professional experience and track record in sustainability, particularly life cycle assessment.
- Excellent knowledge of standards, specifications, certification systems, tools, databases for sustainability metrics, and life cycle assessment.
- Very good knowledge of English required; good knowledge of German is an advantage.
- High degree of initiative, analytical skills, strategic thinking, personal responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Professional experience in the chemical industry and technological expertise are advantageous.
- Enthusiasm for sustainability and ability to develop and implement creative solutions.
