About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at RJC Group, a leading energy trading firm. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our trading algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support algorithmic trading strategies.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with Quant teams to understand data requirements and optimize data workflows.
- Automate data ingestion, processing, and storage processes to support real-time and batch trading systems.
- Work with cloud platforms and tools to manage data infrastructure and ensure high availability.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data-related code and infrastructure.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DataOps, DevOps, or related engineering role, preferably in a trading or finance environment.
- Proficient in programming languages like Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi, Kafka).
- Strong understanding of handling both event-based and aggregated time series data.
