Underground Utilities Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Tesla Motors' Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. This is a unique opportunity to oversee and optimize underground utilities systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and operation of wastewater, rainwater, domestic water, and greywater systems. You will develop and implement Standards of Operation (SOO) and maintenance plans tailored to each utility system. Additionally, you will create and refine concepts to improve system efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), the Waste Management team, the Permitting team, and the Wastewater Treatment (WWT) team, to ensure alignment and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will also be required to monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and implementing opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

Key responsibilities include planning and executing projects for infrastructure upgrades, repairs, or new installations related to underground utilities, as well as developing documentation, technical reports, and maintenance records to support compliance, efficiency improvements, and safety audits.

You will provide technical expertise and guidance to technicians and other personnel involved in system operations and maintenance, act as a liaison with regulatory authorities and stakeholders, and read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and engineering drawings to support system understanding, maintenance, and optimization.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing and optimizing underground utility systems (wastewater, rainwater, domestic water, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of local regulations and best practices for water protection and management.
• Experience developing and implementing maintenance plans, SOOs, and system optimization concepts.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory authorities.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and implement effective solutions for performance and compliance.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in German and English is required.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
