Equipment Engineer for Semiconductor Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Engineer to join our team at Bertrandt. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, and introduction of Wet Chemistry equipment in our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute the installation and introduction of Wet Chemistry equipment, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of equipment, collaborating with service partners to ensure hardware startup and validation.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Wet Chemistry equipment, training maintenance technicians to ensure continuity.
- Ensure high machine availability and equipment stability through the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Detection and Classification (FDC).
- Develop and implement training programs for junior technicians, creating comprehensive onboarding plans and skill passports.
- Develop and update safety training documents for Wet Chemistry equipment, as well as update machine hazard assessments to reflect current risk levels.
- Develop preventive maintenance (PM) instructions and corrective maintenance (CM) procedures.
- Collaborate with the logistics department to plan spare part inventory and storage needs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Conceptualize, specify, and implement individual high-priority projects, as well as key performance indicator (KPI) measures within equipment and surrounding areas, in coordination with the team.
- Ensure aspects of economy, quality, reliability, and innovation are considered.
- Analyze data, correlate KPIs, and develop countermeasures.
- Present results to decision-makers and customers.
- Completed university degree in a relevant technical field.
- Several years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, with broad knowledge of Wet Chemistry.
- Experience in equipment maintenance and support as an Equipment Engineer.
- Good knowledge of methods such as 5S, SPC, FDC, FMEA, and REFA.
- Excellent German and English language skills.
