Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Researcher to join our team at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in analyzing the impact of modern AI systems that act as 'digital companions' focusing on human-centered, ethical AI interaction designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the impact of modern AI systems on human-centered, ethical AI interaction designs
  • Design and conduct empirical studies, including immersive field studies with industry partners, to identify relevant moral phenomena and develop ethics-compliant designs
  • Write scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, participate in national and international conferences, and support with grant applications
  • Support the professorship's research and teaching activities

Requirements

  • (Scientific) university degree in business administration, ethics, social sciences, computer science, or a related field
  • Advanced German language skills
  • Strong background in experimental design and advanced knowledge of statistics with programming skills in Python or R
  • Basic knowledge of operating principles of Generative AI with the willingness to dive deeper quickly
  • Excellent command of English, strong communication and teamwork, and good organizational skills
