**Shape the Digital Future of ZEISS**

As a senior system developer in the Global Algorithms & Software Semiconductor Mask Solutions team at ZEISS Group, you will play a crucial role in shaping the digital future of our company.

**Your Key Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for developing sophisticated algorithms that evaluate enormous amounts of image data in a highly efficient manner. This will enable our team to optimize the performance of our complex photomask systems, which are essential for manufacturing defect-free microchips.

**Key Challenges and Opportunities**

Our high-tech measurement systems for semiconductor lithography require extreme precision and automated image evaluation. You will work on robustly and efficiently processing large amounts of data with machine learning, which will generate high value for our customers.

**Your Role in the Team**

You will develop highly accurate image processing algorithms and machine learning-based solutions in an interdisciplinary team of experts. Your tasks will range from conceptual design and state-of-the-art analysis to implementation, performance evaluation, and final product maturity.

**Leadership and Innovation**

As a senior, you will support knowledge exchange within the team, technically steer complex development projects, and impact technology strategies for our business. Your innovation-driven mindset will enable you to stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and publications.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Very good knowledge of machine learning and classical image processing, as well as good physical and methodological knowledge of geometric and physical optics.
  • Intensive practical programming experience with Python, Matlab, possibly C++, and preferably parallel computing (CUDA, Cloud systems).
  • A very successfully completed degree in physics, computer science, engineering, or applied mathematics (PhD preferred).
  • 5 years of professional experience as a system developer and practical experience in project management.
  • Great passion to successfully solve complex and difficult problems independently and in a team.
  • Very good German and English language skills and excellent communication skills.
