About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team at BurdaVerlag. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the backend of our digital publications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the backend of our digital publications using PHP and Drupal.
  • Work with a decoupled ReactJS frontend over GraphQL.
  • Develop concepts for new features and optimizations with the product management team.
  • Implement new features together with an agile development team.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of our websites to ensure the best user experience.
Requirements
  • Previous studies in computer science or related fields, or corresponding professional experience or further training.
  • First experience in developing web applications, ideally in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of PHP, Symfony, and Drupal.
  • Experience with Docker, Git is required.
  • Experience with ReactJS, Kubernetes would be a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in agile teams.
