About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer with a strong focus on PHP to join our partner company's team and contribute to the development of their IT strategy. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend systems using Symfony, API Platform, and MySQL. Your expertise will help drive the growth and success of our partner company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance the partner company's new platform using Symfony, API Platform, and MySQL.
  • Collaborate with the team to conceptualise new backend components and ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
  • Maintain and improve the existing backend tech stack, including Symfony and Zend.
  • Engage in continuous personal development through training, research, and team collaboration.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP 8 and frameworks, ideally Symfony and/or API Platform.
  • Proficient in server-side debugging and experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Understanding of unit testing and a commitment to maintainable, readable code.
  • Comfortable working with Linux and experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Independent work style and openness to new technologies.
  • Friendly and motivated team player with excellent communication skills in German, with English being a plus.
