We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG), a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about delivering world-class projects across the globe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing project controls expertise to our commodity-based business units, spanning the entire project lifecycle from scoping to project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety:

  • A strong personal commitment to safety and a behavioral-based safety ethos
  • Personal responsibility for safety incident reporting and stopping any unsafe behavior
  • Familiarization with Hatch safety processes, protocols, and procedures

Project Master Schedule Development:

  • Delivery of project planning and progress measurement, ensuring Hatch procedures and best practices are applied
  • Confirm and refine FEL4 level 3 scheduling and identify and schedule critical vendor data requirements
  • Populate approved measurable commodity quantities and labor to produce baseline S-curves and participate in project schedule risk analysis
  • Using progress reports and project schedule, maintain, optimize, and monitor progress, identifying and resolving issues

Project Schedule Monitoring and Updates:

  • Generate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reports, maintaining and optimizing the schedule, monitoring progress, and highlighting and resolving schedule issues
  • Extract and publish four-week look ahead schedule, monitor slippages, and critical and near critical paths, and discuss with Project Controls Manager for resolution

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment
  • Knowledge of the estimating and tendering processes
  • Knowledge in the use of Primavera Project Planner P6
  • Technical overview of work methods and techniques
  • Risk management principles
  • Good knowledge of project management principles

  • Interpersonal and good communication skills in the areas of both written and verbal communication
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving and mitigating skills
  • Presentation skills
