Position Overview

As a pivotal Software Engineer at Yendou, you will be instrumental in crafting the inaugural AI-driven CRM aimed at enhancing cancer research. Collaborating closely with our Founding Software Engineer and Product Designer, you will form a compact team dedicated to developing and launching a groundbreaking Data Intelligence-enabled CRM. This tool will empower Clinical Operations teams to effectively manage clinical trials, ensuring they reach the appropriate clinics and patients.

About Yendou

Yendou stands as the first Data Intelligence-enabled CRM tailored for R&D teams within life sciences organizations, designed to optimize and expedite the allocation of cancer clinical trials across global clinics.

It is widely recognized that the journey to market for a cancer therapeutic can span 12 years and cost approximately $800 million.

However, what many may overlook is that over one-third of this timeline (4.6 years) and 22% of the total clinical trial expenses are consumed by the allocation process to clinics.

Our Solution...

We are pioneering a CRM solution for the pharmaceutical industry, akin to Salesforce, but equipped with a comprehensive list of pre-qualified prospects. This innovation eliminates the need for extensive searches for doctors or hospitals, consolidating them within Yendou, thereby allowing companies to reduce their selection timeline by a full year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the foundational technology that transforms both structured and unstructured data into SQL-compliant tables, utilizing a schema defined in natural language. This will enable our clients to uncover hidden insights that can accelerate their clinical pipeline development.
  • Create interfaces that enhance clinical operational decision-making by allowing end-users to pose analytical inquiries that were previously unattainable with conventional Vector DB.
  • Oversee large datasets, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and reliability throughout the modeling process.
  • Assess new private and/or public data sources; engage with vendors to evaluate external data products that can enrich our clients' accounts with critical operational information.
  • Monitor model performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Define the Product Roadmap: As part of a small, autonomous team, you will wear multiple hats and have a significant impact.
  • Continuous Learning: As we lead the charge in pharma R&D technology, particularly in multi-stakeholder collaboration CRMs, you will be at the forefront of implementing and developing innovative technologies, which may involve extensive research and experimentation.

Qualifications

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in architecting, developing, and testing full-stack applications end-to-end.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and familiarity with ML/NLP libraries including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Transformers.
  • A proactive attitude and a quick learner with a strong inclination towards action.
  • Contributions to open-source projects are highly regarded.
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, particularly Postgres.
  • Familiarity with data and ML infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.
  • Ability to own and manage technically challenging projects from inception to completion.
  • Enthusiasm for exploring new technologies and a willingness to tackle unprecedented challenges.
  • Capability to write clean, efficient code and an understanding of application scalability.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the maintainability, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical systems.
  • Ability to make swift technical decisions and clearly communicate your reasoning.

Hiring Process Overview

  3. Collaborative Coding Session (90 minutes) with the Founding Engineer: A joint working session on a product and system design challenge.
  4. Discussion with the CEO (~30 minutes): Assessing cultural fit and addressing any questions you may have.
  5. Work Trial (7 hours): Designed to facilitate mutual decision-making, conducted onsite.
  6. Reference Check: Successful candidates will be asked to provide three professional references.
