Financial Business Analyst

Job Summary

The Brooks Automation is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in financial analysis to join its team. In this role, you will work closely with the Program/ R&D Management, Product Management teams, and Business Finance Team to define and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Refine and expand existing high-level requirements, providing quality deliverables and reports in assigned areas.
• Support management of R&D programs, Zero-Based Budgeting cycles, and sales forecast and outlook cycles.
• Analyze past and current financial performance, identifying financial status by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Continuously improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.
• Reconcile transactions, maintain databases, and recommend actions based on data analysis.
• Ensure role-assigned requirements are captured, and deliverables are prepared at the appropriate level of detail.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers and business partners to analyze information needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
• Apply strong analytical and project management skills, including interpreting customer and business needs and translating them into operational requirements.
• Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills, with corporate language being English, to interact professionally with diverse groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance/controlling with 2-4 years of practical experience, or Master's with 0-1 years; or equivalent professional experience in this area.
• Financial acumen and proficiency with MS Office Products; user experience with Oracle Cloud helpful (or similar tools).
• Experience in gathering and analyzing data, working with sales, finance, and technical teams, and ability to work across various levels of the organization.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills, with ability to think creatively and work independently.
• 5+ years in a finance/sales business analyst role and strong technical/scientific role background of 2+ years (add-on).
