PhD Researcher in Cancer Immunology

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated PhD student to join our research team at the Universitätsklinikum Ulm. Our team is focused on understanding the complex interactions between cancer cells and the immune system, with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research in the field of cancer immunology, with a focus on druggable cell-intrinsic mechanisms in modulating an immune cell response.
- Employ complex 3D co-culture model systems, genetically engineered mouse models, and human organoid models to study biochemical and biophysical aspects of tumor-niche interactions.
- Develop and implement shRNA and CRISPR library-based screening approaches to identify potential therapeutic targets.
- Collaborate with our team of researchers to design and execute experiments, and to analyze and interpret data.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and publish results in peer-reviewed journals.
