Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineering Manager at SIDES, you will oversee the technical strategy and direction of our engineering teams.

You will ensure the successful execution of our technical strategy, leading the development of high-quality, scalable software products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the technology teams to ensure close collaboration and alignment with the CTO.
  • Overseeing software development processes, from architecture to delivery, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborating with the CTO to define and execute the company's technical strategy.
  • Implementing and promoting best practices in software development, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in software development, especially in managing high-demand, scalable software products.
  • Proven leadership experience in senior technical roles, with a history of managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Expertise in relevant technologies, particularly Python, Go, PHP, JavaScript, and the AWS platform.
  • Strong understanding of Frontend and Backend development, with the ability to collaborate across both disciplines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of motivating teams and interfacing effectively with senior management.
  • Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken), with English as the primary language for development.
