Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bauingenieurin or Bauingenieur to join our team at Kreis Offenbach. As a key member of our facility management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and maintenance of various construction projects, including school buildings and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Project management for smaller to medium-sized construction and renovation projects, including coordination with external planning offices and service providers
• Supporting project management for county-owned new construction projects
• Regular review of facility management services, with a focus on building and technical aspects
• Reviewing and documenting bids and tenders in the areas of building and technical building equipment
• Supporting the handling of complaints and quality assurance, as well as coordinating with project partners
• Overseeing additional services in consultation with school users (e.g. school community, childcare facilities, support associations)
• Monitoring defects, documenting defect rectification, and warranty follow-up

Requirements

• Completed degree in civil engineering (FH diploma or bachelor's degree)
• Or state-certified building technician (female/male)
• Or state-certified building services engineer (female/male)
• At least two years of professional experience in project management, construction management, or facility management
• Basic knowledge of facility management
• Good computer skills (MS Office and general building software)
• Verbal and written communication skills, team player, initiative
• Valid driver's license (class B) and use of private vehicle for official business

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public sector construction administration
• Knowledge of the VOB (German standard for construction contracts)
• Experience in warranty follow-up
• Knowledge of fire safety
