As a Tax Junior Specialist at Boston Consulting Group, you will play a vital role in supporting both local and global functions. Your responsibilities will include tax assessment, calculation, account assignment, and documentation for all internal and external events, individual benefits, and hospitality. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all questions relating to benefits in kind and provide support in complying with tax regulations, including tax on earnings (income tax, corporate tax, trade tax, payroll tax, and VAT). You will also be in contact with tax authorities and work with various internal departments, such as corporate accounting, payroll, HR, and global functions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the preparation and submission of tax returns and other tax-related documents
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely tax calculations and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing new procedures and processes as needed
- Commercial apprenticeship or training as a tax clerk
- Experience in finance topics, such as financial accounting or German tax law
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and ability to work efficiently with Windows 10
- Excellent written and spoken English and German language skills
