Professor in Bioprocess Intensification

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for a tenure track position in Bioprocess Intensification. The professorship will be assigned to the Department of Energy and Process Engineering at the TUM School of Engineering and Design.

Responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of Bioprocess Intensification with a focus on the development and intensification of processes in which microorganisms or mammalian cell lines produce macromolecules.

Teaching responsibilities include participation in TUM's Bachelor and Master degree programs, in particular in the Industrial Biotechnology, Energy and Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Bioprocess Engineering degree programs.

Qualifications include a university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude. Substantial research experience abroad is expected.
