We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Process Control Specialist to join our team at LyondellBasell.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our monomer and utilities operations with process controls, APC, and data analysis tasks. This role is part of our internal development program to train young engineers for future tasks within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve process control issues in daily operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Energy Efficiency: Monitor and improve energy efficiency across operations units, maintaining energy monitoring systems and implementing sustainable practices.
- Concept Development: Support the development of concepts and feasibility studies for DCS and APC systems, both internally and in collaboration with external contractors.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project teams during Basic and Detail Engineering for DCS and APC systems, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Process Hazard Analysis: Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for operations units, focusing on SIL/IPL implementation and ensuring safe operations.
- Operations Optimization: Optimize operations units for capacity and energy efficiency, ensuring sustainable operation of DCS and APC systems.
- Reliability and Maintenance: Improve the reliability of DCS and APC systems, ensuring their sustainable operation and minimizing downtime.
- Digitalization: Support various digitalization projects and initiatives, contributing to the company's digital transformation.
- Knowledge Sharing: Participate in technical networks, sharing experiences and best practices with local and international colleagues.
- Simulation and Modeling: Utilize simulation tools to model and optimize processes, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, Process Controls Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in process simulations (Aspen or Hysys), data analysis tools, and statistical tools.
- Language: Fluency in German and English.
