Key Responsibilities- Design and implement logical, semantically rich data models for Amazon's vast product catalog, ensuring comprehensive sub-domain coverage and machine-inferable ontologies.
- Conduct research on global product understanding to develop scalable data models that address customer pain points and enhance product discoverability.
- Collaborate with business partners, data science, and engineering teams to deliver knowledge-based solutions for product discoverability.
- Analyze website metrics and product discovery behaviors to inform data-driven decisions on optimizing knowledge graph data models globally.
- Contribute to the development of new tool features and processes for the Ontology team, driving alignment to ontology modeling and technology best practices.

Requirements- Master's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Linguistics, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in ontology and/or taxonomy roles.
- Proven skills in data retrieval and research techniques, with the ability to communicate complex processes in simple language.
- Familiarity with Semantic Web technologies, query languages, and validation/reasoning standards.
- Knowledge of open-source and commercial ontology engineering editors.
