About Us:
Smart Host is a leading B2B SaaS platform in the hospitality industry, empowering hotels to leverage their data effectively. Our innovative approach combines data collection, cleaning, and enrichment with analytics and multi-channel messaging to revolutionize guest communication and marketing efforts.
Our Goal:
As a specialist in API development, you will play a crucial role in connecting our application to new APIs and extending/maintaining existing connections. Your expertise will be invaluable in tackling the challenges of heterogeneous hotel tech systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust APIs for our SaaS backend with complex business logic.
- Maintain high code quality, ensuring correctness and performance.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API feature design and implementation.
- Identify and mitigate emerging code complexity through architecture improvements.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java (up to version 21) and experience with Gradle, Spring, JPA, scripting languages (Shell, Python), and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with networking, operating systems, and distributed computing fundamentals.
- Strong emphasis on code quality and refactoring.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and escalate responsibility when necessary.
- Persistent pursuit of professional knowledge and sharing it with the team.
