Chief Economist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Economist to join our team at E Energy Markets GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating access to trading markets for our regional business units, bundling associated chances and risks, and providing innovative services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement portfolio strategies to optimize trading performance
• Manage risk and ensure robust and compliant operation of trading and scheduling activities
• Liaise and align with internal stakeholders to support team development and regulatory compliance
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and market trends to inform business decisions

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of German energy markets, including Day Ahead, Intraday, and ancillary service markets
• Combined experience of power and gas trading is an advantage
• Strong technical and quantitative skills, with fluency in English and German
