About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Product-Team at Packmatic. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our growing software solutions and developing scalable and maintainable APIs to automate the integration process of our SaaS product.

Your primary focus will be on developing APIs, backend systems, and PostgreSQL databases, as well as working closely with clients and their tech teams to understand integration requirements and leverage data integration workflows in AI tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop scalable and maintainable APIs, backend systems, and workflows to enable seamless integration with Packa.
  • Design and implement data schemes and manage & optimize PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS to ensure efficient data handling and performance.
  • Create and maintain workflows, tools, and interfaces that facilitate and automate the integration process of our SaaS product.
  • Collaborate with clients and their technical teams to understand integration requirements and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Evaluate and improve integration processes, workflows, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage data integration workflows in AI tools and models to automate processes, improve quality, and quantity of complex data structuring tasks.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for integration procedures, tools, and best practices for our customers as well as internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on data integrations, data engineering & system architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating with ERP systems or other external parties and related data integration challenges.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Nest.js for backend development, as well as experience with RDBMS (especially PostgreSQL) and AWS services & cloud architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and address complex integration issues as well as refining data integrations workflows.
  • Ability to build and maintain supporting UIs that aid in the integration process, leveraging modern frontend technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, with German fluency a plus.
