Accounting Expertise Sought

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to spearhead daily accounting functions and ensure compliance with local GAAP and company policies in our Luxembourg operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a daily or weekly schedule to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts efficiently.
  • Maintain clear and detailed records of all transactions and activities to ensure full compliance with local GAAP and company policies.
  • Work closely with the legal team to provide support on finance-related matters.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities to facilitate timely reporting and support the audit process.
  • Identify areas for workflow improvement and implement procedures to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with the GSC team on finance projects and ensure successful implementation in Luxembourg.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or an equivalent qualification) with at least 6-8 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Experience in a commercial or professional services environment is highly advantageous.
  • You possess a strong understanding of VAT and taxation in Luxembourg.
  • You have advanced skills in Excel, and familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
  • Experience with data analytics tools or AI (such as Power BI) is a significant advantage.
  • You demonstrate strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, and are fluent in French and English.
  • You exhibit effective time management skills and maintain a high level of precision.
  • You are organized, have a mature demeanor, and can handle stress effectively.
  • You are an initiative-taking team player capable of working autonomously and taking ownership when necessary.
  • You are collaborative, always ready to assist fellow team members.
  • You have a proactive approach and are focused on achieving results.
