French Canadian Linguist

We are seeking a highly skilled French Canadian Linguist to join our team at Welocalize. As a trusted global transformation partner, we accelerate the global business journey by enabling brands and companies to reach, engage, and grow international audiences.

• Perform quality control tasks on assigned projects or accounts, ensuring high-quality translations and adherence to deadlines.
• Conduct on-demand translation tasks, leveraging expertise in French Canadian language and culture.
• Develop and train new and existing freelancers, ensuring they meet the required standards and quality levels.
• Collaborate with clients on linguistic matters, providing expert guidance and support.
• Participate in the development of new and improved working processes, driving innovation in language services.

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in the translation and localization industry.
• Fluent in French Canadian (native level), both written and spoken, and fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent feel for language (source/target) and knowledge of terminology in IT consumer products, social media, and entertainment.
• Thorough understanding of the localization process and ability to work with tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and translators.
