As an Automation Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge automation solutions for offshore transmission platforms. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, transforming technical concepts into tangible realities.
A Day in Your Role
Your day will be a dynamic blend of creativity and precision as you design, develop, and integrate both software and hardware solutions. You'll collaborate closely with global customers to ensure their specific requirements are met, contributing to the seamless operation of these critical energy infrastructure systems.
Your Impact
- Develop and implement auxiliary systems for offshore transmission platforms, contributing to the technical design and execution.
- Collaborate with international clients throughout the technical realization process, ensuring their needs are met.
- Contribute to the development of SCADA system concepts, including UI/UX design and software implementation.
- Create comprehensive documentation for both software and hardware within project frameworks.
- Conduct and support acceptance tests with clients and subcontractors.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for client personnel responsible for operation and maintenance.
Your Qualifications
- A completed technical university degree, ideally in automation technology or computer science, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in automation technology (e.g., Simatic S7, PCS7); knowledge of Visual Basic and/or C# is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems such as SIMATIC WinCC OA and/or CopaData Zenon is advantageous.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Willingness to undertake multi-week international assignments, particularly during system commissioning phases.
