We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team at ODAV AG. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to support the growth and development of our core applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement a new PostgreSQL environment to support the development of our core applications
- Ensure the smooth operation of our central database systems
- Collaborate closely with our Oracle DBAs to ensure seamless database management
- Work closely with our software development team to ensure database design and documentation meet the highest standards
- A degree in a technical or scientific field, or a related apprenticeship
- Proven experience in database administration, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL
- Excellent knowledge of modern database management systems, with a preference for PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Linux operating systems
- Advanced knowledge of backup, recovery, security, and integrity
- Experience with database design and documentation
- Experience with automated rollouts, such as Liquibase
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented approach
