The Advanced Carbon Conversion Technologies department at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft has pioneered an innovative technology for the chemical recycling of used textiles and extraction of high-purity chemicals. This technology is now being implemented, optimized, and evaluated on a pilot scale.

Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to drive forward the development of chemical recycling of used textiles as part of their thesis.

  • Research international literature and summarize key findings
  • Analyze used textiles and prepare them for chemical recycling
  • Modify and adapt existing pilot plants to optimize the recycling process
  • Experimentally optimize the recycling process
  • Summarize and evaluate results
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a similar field
  • A solution-oriented, independent, and self-reliant work style
  • Good knowledge of English
Nice to Have

If you have experience in the following areas, it would be beneficial:

  • Confident handling of MS Office
  • Practical experience in mechanical and plant engineering through training, internships, or practical study modules
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately €45,000 per year, based on a 39-hour workweek. Part-time options are also available.
