Theoretical Physicist in Heavy-Ion Collisions

We are seeking a highly skilled Theoretical Physicist to join our team at Universität Bielefeld. The successful candidate will conduct research in the field of heavy-ion collisions, focusing on initial conditions, non-equilibrium dynamics, and hydrodynamic evolution.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research on kinetic and hydrodynamic descriptions of heavy-ion collisions
- Develop real-time methods for the description of dynamic-critical behavior
- Participate in the development of QCD kinetic simulations and effective macroscopic descriptions
- Teach courses in theoretical physics and supervise students
- Completed scientific university degree in physics
- Completed doctorate in a related field of research
- Documented knowledge in heavy-ion physics and QCD
- Experience with numerical methods and programming (C/C++)
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Experience in teaching and supervising students
- Leadership skills
- Salary according to salary grade A13 LBesG NRW
- Fixed-term employment (3 years with the option to extend for a further 3 years)
