Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Theoretical Physicist to join our team at Universität Bielefeld. The successful candidate will conduct research in the field of heavy-ion collisions, focusing on initial conditions, non-equilibrium dynamics, and hydrodynamic evolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on kinetic and hydrodynamic descriptions of heavy-ion collisions
  • Develop real-time methods for the description of dynamic-critical behavior
  • Participate in the development of QCD kinetic simulations and effective macroscopic descriptions
  • Teach courses in theoretical physics and supervise students
Requirements:
  • Completed scientific university degree in physics
  • Completed doctorate in a related field of research
  • Documented knowledge in heavy-ion physics and QCD
  • Experience with numerical methods and programming (C/C++)
  • Good command of written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching and supervising students
  • Leadership skills
