Material Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

HITACHI ENERGY FRANCE is seeking a highly skilled Material Procurement Specialist to join our High Voltage Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and supply of manufacturing materials, ensuring efficient logistics and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational plans for job area, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and maintain harmonized processes for inventory management, material flows, and stock levels.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain function to ensure smooth material flow and resilient supply chain.
  • Define measurements to analyze optimum stock levels and drive improvements in procurement procedures.
  • Develop robust material planning processes to fulfill customer demands and identify supply chain risks.
  • Forecast and analyze inventory levels to secure efficient routines and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize purchase processes and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience as Material Manager/Coordinator.
  • University degree in engineering, materials, or related field.
  • Operational and inventorying mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated capacity to take initiative and prioritize work.
  • Fluent in English, with other European languages a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
