Technical Project Manager

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for overseeing the further development and ongoing operations of software platforms built by Lufthansa Innovation Hub, acting as a liaison between the Lufthansa Group and our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute further developments by receiving business requirements from Lufthansa Group, collaborating with our engineering team to translate business needs into technical requirements, and working with our management team to create a formal proposal.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog and roadmap for the products in collaboration with Lufthansa Group and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the delivery of planned developments by coordinating deployment timelines with Lufthansa Group and our engineering team, and ensuring these timelines are met through proper sprint and resource planning.
  • Manage operations by coordinating platform support, managing our support resources, and ensuring that support tickets are properly handled as per our service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Streamline and automate various support issues originating from customers or other stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholders by acting as the contact person for all platform-related matters inside Lufthansa Innovation Hub as well as within Lufthansa Group.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of project management experience (or similar role) managing complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tenacious self-starter who thrives in environments characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, utilizing resourceful and creative problem-solving skills to facilitate alignment, coordination, and overall project momentum through completion.
  • Excellent ability to probe complex dependencies, distill project plans, and drive successful cross-team outcomes.
  • Service management or operations is a valuable addition.
  • Strong working knowledge of project and work stream management tools such as Jira, Notion, and Shortcut.
  • Superb organizational skills and an analytical view on maximizing team productivity with a focus on value and outcomes rather than getting caught up on rigid processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, eager to ask questions, deeply understand business and product objectives, and communicate clearly and directly to drive alignment among both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Resilient determination to push projects through to completion, regardless of how priorities or deadlines may shift in a dynamic environment and rapidly evolving industry.
