Job Overview:

The Civil Engineer plays a crucial role in the Construction discipline at LutechResources, utilizing best practices and industry knowledge to enhance project delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of onshore construction projects, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality outcomes.
• Coordinate with discipline supervision and subcontractors to develop comprehensive Construction Execution Plans.
• Develop and implement site preparation, equipment installation, and commissioning strategies.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure that all construction work adheres to applicable regulations, standards, and quality requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, enforcing safety, quality, and contract compliance.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with engineering and procurement teams to guarantee design and material specifications.
• Coordinate project closeout activities, including punch list completion and handover to operations.
• Lead the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide technical support to the Construction team on-site.
• Fulfill the role of Fremdfirmenkoordinator as per German law.
• Collaborate with the site civil superintendent to track project progress.
• Interact with Home Office and Civil Engineering Home Office to ensure timely civil and structural engineering AFC deliverables.
• Review the Level 3 schedule in advance to prepare necessary information for maintaining work progress.
• Support the Quality Field Manager in identifying requirements from engineering in the ITP.
• Review, evaluate, and approve/reject intended changes and modifications by the civil subcontractor, interacting with Home Office Civil Engineering when necessary.
• Provide adequate responses to RFI queries from the Civil Subcontractor and interact with Home Office Civil Engineering when necessary.
• Prepare the TQY to Client requesting approval of deviations, if any.
• Be responsible as Requisition Engineer for the Civil/Structural part of the Subcontract with the Civil Subcontractor and follow up on Subcontract Document List and related requirements.
• Support the Quantity Surveyor in identifying work done on the AFC drawings against unit rates.
