About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Engineer to join our team at Amazon Deutschland Transport GmbH - B78. As a key member of our EU Sustainability Engineering team, you will play a critical role in scaling our programs and driving innovation in electrical engineering.

Our team is responsible for defining and improving electrical standards for EV charging networks and smart grid solutions. We are committed to ensuring the reliability of our designs and minimizing waste, as we believe that sustainability is a key driver of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align stakeholders' expectations for EV charging infrastructure installation and smart grid development.
  • Develop and manage vendors to ensure installation capacity, quality, and smooth interaction with other teams.
  • Perform design validation to ensure electrical standards are respected during installation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and support Field Engineering to prepare the supply chain for installation.
  • Write business cases and present them to leadership to scope programs.
About the Team

Our EU Sustainability Engineering team is responsible for defining and improving electrical standards for EV charging networks and smart grid solutions. We work closely with other teams, including Operations, Process Improvement, Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors to design and deploy new equipment and processes.

We are committed to ensuring the reliability of our designs and minimizing waste, as we believe that sustainability is a key driver of our business.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in building, developing, and leading programs in a fast-paced and ambiguous work environment.
  • Experience communicating complex topics for broad audiences and in data analysis for decision making.
  • Proficiency in English is required, with German proficiency a plus.
