About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Golang Software Engineer to join our team at Hornetsecurity. As a key member of our Security Lab department, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our messaging platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our messaging services using Golang.
  • Build and enhance tools for writing and managing email filtering policies.
  • Optimize the messaging platform for performance and scalability to handle high message traffic volumes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new modern messaging features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the messaging platform and email delivery.
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Golang.
  • Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and email security concepts.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining messaging services, like an MTA, or similar network-based applications.
  • Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
