Job Title: Healthcare Hardware Design Engineer

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the electrical hardware design and development of medical products. This includes working on medical machines comprised of electrical, mechanical, electromagnetic, user interfaces, and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical hardware for medical products
  • Work on up-to-date High-safety HMIs, sensor probes, and sensor interfaces
  • Responsible for designs that meet requirements and are optimized for production, reliability, and cost
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to support in addressing manufacturing issues and offer quick solutions from a design perspective
  • Hardware development cycle involving concept design, system and subsystem requirements, component selection, schematic entry, and PCB layout
  • Work on prototype builds, analog and digital circuit analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Conduct engineering testing, including test and evaluation methodologies, protocols, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiar with sensors interfacing, power supply, and microprocessor-based designs
  • Experience with laboratory equipment or the healthcare industry
  • Good knowledge of ECADs, such as Mentor PADS and Altium
  • Knowledge of requirement management tools, such as Polarion and DOORS
  • Knowledge of EU, US, and international medical quality, safety standards, emissions, and immunity
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for design and manufacturing
  • Electronic systems schematic interpretation, electrical circuit design, electrical cable design, equipment troubleshooting, and repair
  • Experience and knowledge of design for test, reliability, and quality methodologies
  • Fluency in English language; good level in German language is appreciated
