Job Description
We're seeking an experienced MEP Cost Manager to join our Cost Management team in Frankfurt, Munich, or Stuttgart. As an MEP Cost Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our clients in delivering complex projects and challenging programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish early budgets and cost plans for clients
- Manage design teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget
- Tender and procure MEP services, including managing the pre-qualification stage
- Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Take personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients
- Input into value engineering
- Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients
- Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle
- Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients
- Experience of leading cost management commissions for large construction projects of high complexity
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters
- English skills are required, as well as basic German skills (min. B1), and willingness to improve German language skills
- Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
- Sound organisational skills; ability to multi-task and be a team player
- Working knowledge of MS Office software and tools
- Working knowledge of cost databases and/or estimating software is advantageous
