The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Electronics Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of digital and analog circuits for our field sensors. Your expertise will be instrumental in contributing to the development of our quantum sensors, working closely with our team of physicists and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop digital and analog circuits for our field sensors
  • Contribute to the development of our quantum sensors, working closely with our team of physicists and engineers
  • Manage and grow our in-house electronics capabilities and team
  • Design, prototype, and optimize sensor subsystems and custom PCBs
  • Work with our team members at Nomad Atomics Australia and manufacturing partners for timely prototype and series production
  • Debug and optimize subsystem and sensor performance in harsh environments

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc degree in electrical or electronics engineering, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related work experience in the industry
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Eagerness to plan and drive forward complex electronics projects within a small team
  • Demonstrated track record with electronics troubleshooting and SMT-soldering
  • Advanced knowledge of schematic design and PCB layout in Altium Designer or a similar CAD package
  • Experience with prototype manufacturing and debugging of mixed-signal designs and, optimally, RF & Microwave systems
  • Proficiency with Xilinx SoCs and Xilinx toolchain (e.g. Vivado), or similar
  • Experience with power systems design, battery-operated devices, and EMC testing and device certification is beneficial
