Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Optical Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team at Michael Page. As an Optical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing optical systems and components for our clients in the high-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative optical systems and components, including beam guidance, lenses, and optical components
  • Optimize and improve existing optical technologies and concepts
  • Integrate optical and optoelectronic systems into complex measurement and inspection instruments
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze and evaluate optical measurement methods
  • Collaborate with electronics and software developers to implement optical systems into instruments
  • Analyze and evaluate experimental data to improve system performance
  • Document and present results to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Physics, Optics, Optoelectronics, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of optical physics, optical measurement techniques, and optical system development
  • Experience with optical simulation tools such as Zemax or Code V
  • Desirable experience in the semiconductor industry or a related high-tech field
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work
  • Team player with excellent communication skills in German and English
