We are seeking an experienced Cocoa Fruit Innovation Manager to join our team at KOA Germany GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the research and development of new cocoa fruit-based products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.

About Us: KOA is a Swiss-Ghanaian Scale-Up that has disrupted the cocoa value chain in West Africa. We process fresh cocoa fruit in cooperation with smallholders in rural Ghana, significantly increasing their income and upcycling 40% of the cocoa pulp. As a B Corp, we believe in creating positive change through sustainable practices.

Your Mission: As a Cocoa Fruit Innovation Manager, you will work closely with our Development team to create innovative products that showcase the unique properties of the cocoa fruit. You will take a market-centric approach to ensure that our ingredients meet the technical and functional requirements of our B2B customers. Your expertise will contribute to developing successful consumer applications utilizing Koa ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research projects to optimize Koa's existing ingredient portfolio, enhancing functionality, cost-effectiveness, and impact on finished consumer products.
  • Develop commercially viable products for consumers by structuring, planning, and conducting research and development on new cocoa fruit ingredients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research and development and/or product development in the food & beverage sector.
  • Proven track record of driving innovation and growth in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Benefits:
