About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The successful candidate will be part of the Max-Eder research group, led by Dr. med. Livius Penter, and will contribute to our research efforts in translational tumor immunology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise single cell, bulk, and spatial sequencing experiments in collaboration with other group members
- Analyze single cell datasets, including RNA, DNA, TCR, and ATAC sequencing
- Analyze spatial datasets
- Analyze immunogenomics datasets, including T cell and B cell receptor sequencing, whole-exome sequencing, etc.
- Develop custom sequencing methods and analysis pipelines
- Manage and process raw data on cluster infrastructure
- Plan and supervise follow-up experiments in collaboration with other group members
Requirements
- Completed doctoral degree with deep knowledge of computational methods and complex omics data analyses
- Strong programming skills in R, Python, shell, or similar languages in a UNIX environment
- Previous experience in sequencing methods
- Interest in collaborative work environment within the group
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Interest in learning and developing novel sequencing and bioinformatics analysis methods
- Critical and independent working style
- Interest in immunological and tumorgenetic questions, as well as a combination of wet and dry lab work
- Interest in collaborating with national and international research groups
- Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Strong organizational skills

Job Information
- Pay scale E13 according to TVöD- VKA- K
- The working time is full-time with 39 hours per week
- At our company, 30 days of vacation are standard
